Our founder and owner, Chris, grew up on a farm in Goodland, Kansas. She moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University before moving to California for her career in the tech industry. A few years after relocating back to the Northern Colorado area, she found and purchased a 1950’s dairy farm (her kids joked that this may have been a mid-life crisis). But, Chris is a farmgirl at heart, so breathing new life into a farm with so much history located in a place she loves made perfect sense! Since purchasing the farm in 2011, Chris has managed to turn the property into a stunning location to gather and celebrate, while still maintaining the farm’s natural charm.

Above all, Chris loves getting to know couples and working with them to ensure their special day at The Rockin' S Ranch will be perfect and one they cherish forever. Her mid-life crisis became the location for the beginning of countless love stories! (Way better than a sports car.)
